NCFRMI NEWS - NCFRMI Welcomes World Bank Representatives to Strengthen Support for Displaced Persons

The Honorable Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Hon. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, recently welcomed a delegation from the World Bank, led by Fuad Malkawi, to discuss collaborative efforts in addressing the needs of displaced persons in Nigeria. This high-level meeting aimed to explore avenues for strengthening support for the growing population of forcibly displaced individuals across the country.

In partnership with the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, NCFRMI is set to work closely with the World Bank to expand and scale up key initiatives that enhance the quality of life for displaced persons. The collaboration will focus on developing sustainable solutions that promote long-term stability and resilience for affected populations. This includes improving access to basic services such as healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities, while also working towards socioeconomic integration and recovery.
